FABRICATOR (tin man, metal hanger)

These are the guys that hang the bodies on the race cars. They are skilled craftsmen. All Cup cars must undergo rigid inspection and at last count over thirty templates are used to make sure that the race cars meet the specifications of the rule books. If a fabricator doesn't do his or her job just right then the car won't pass inspection and has to be rebuilt. This does not please the crewchief (owner, driver, rest of the crew etc.)
